Nicky Sohn offers private instruction and mentorship for composers at all stages, with a focus on students preparing for college and graduate school applications, competitions, festival submissions, and portfolio development.
What music programs often leave out is the practical groundwork. I can help you understand your own strengths and weaknesses, build your own artistic agenda, and develop the tools you need to present yourself confidently to the world. My approach is built around you specifically, working directly with your portfolio, CV, bio, and resume to help you develop your own voice, build a clear artistic identity, and take the practical next steps toward your goals.
I have taught students ranging in age from 4 to 80+, and welcome all skill levels and backgrounds. My students have gone on to Ivy League universities, top conservatories, and music festivals across the U.S. and internationally.
All lessons and mentoring are conducted virtually via Zoom.

한국에서 미국 유학을 준비하고 계신 중고등학생, 석사 및 박사 과정을 계획하고 계신 분들을 위한 전방위적인 지원도 제공합니다. 음악 실기와 포트폴리오는 물론, 지원서 작성, 에세이, 오디션 준비, 학교 리서치까지, 입시의 모든 과정을 함께합니다.
저는 4세부터 80대 이상까지 다양한 연령의 학생들을 지도해 왔으며, 모든 수준과 배경의 학생들을 환영합니다. 제 학생들은 아이비리그 대학교, 최상위 음악원, 그리고 국내외 유수의 음악 페스티벌에 합격하는 성과를 거두었습니다.
모든 레슨 및 멘토링은 Zoom을 통해 온라인으로 진행됩니다.
